I have mixed feelings on this product.It works well as a stand-alone NVR and it is one of the few cost-effective NVRs with a functional app. Granted my setup utilizes a dedicated VPN, so there is more setup than just discovering cameras and logging to the app from anywhere, you must be on the local network where the cameras live. The app also only support visibility and the web management does not allow viewing recorded events. Just to re-iterate, this device functions perfectly as a stand-alone unit that does not require remote viewing of recordings.

It does not work with a onvif camera for motion detection. It has to have NETIP protocol per DIGOO. All else works great, but I bought it for Motion Detection. My camers see the motion and send alarms but NVR will not record it. Timed/Scheduled recording is fine. I want to upgrade to a newer version firmware, but not getting any help from DIGOO.

Received this product 2 days ago and after just a few minutes of installing an old SATA hard drive I had, this machine was up and running. Picked up my camera very easily and have been watching the security camera over my barn yard with amazement. What a great, reasonably priced NVR and I am glad I bought it.

I was using a old Core 2 Duo windows PC with Blueiris to record my cameras. It's working, but I constantly need to reboot the of or restart the app and it's using a lot more power. Now, this is a game changer, this NVR is super compact with recording up to 12 channels. I installed a Seagate 3TB HDD in there and I can start recording 8 cameras without any issues. The setup take a little time, but straightforward. You just need to un-screw 4 screws on the back and put in a 3.5 inch hard drive and you are good to go. I lover this system overall, it use a lot less than my old PC and I can check my camera everywhere in the world.
